Vendor Questionnaire Completion
This guide is for vendors who have received a security questionnaire from your organization. It covers how to access, complete, and submit the questionnaire through SecureHive’s secure portal.
Vendors do not need to create an account to complete a questionnaire. All they need is the secure access link sent via email.
Accessing the questionnaire
Receive the email notification
The vendor receives an email containing the questionnaire name and description, due date (if specified), a secure access link, and instructions for completion.
Click the access link
The vendor clicks the Access Questionnaire link in the email, which opens the questionnaire login page in their browser.
Enter email address
The vendor enters the email address where they received the request. This must match the email used when the questionnaire was sent.
Access the questionnaire
After entering their email, the vendor clicks Continue. The system authenticates them using the secure token in the link — no password is required.
Answering questions
The questionnaire contains five question types:

Questions marked with a red asterisk (*) are required and must be answered before submitting. Optional questions can be left blank, but providing answers helps demonstrate the vendor’s security posture.
Saving and progress
Responses are automatically saved a few seconds after the vendor stops typing. A Saved indicator with a timestamp appears at the top of the page. The vendor can also click Save at any time to manually save progress.
A progress bar at the top shows the percentage of required questions completed. Since work is auto-saved, the vendor can close the browser and return later using the same access link — all previous answers will be preserved.
Submitting the questionnaire
Review answers
Before submitting, the vendor should scroll through all sections and verify that all required questions are answered and responses are accurate.
Click Submit
Click the Submit Questionnaire button at the bottom of the page.
Confirm submission
A confirmation dialog warns that answers cannot be edited after submission. Click Confirm Submit to finalize.
Submission complete
After successful submission, a confirmation page is displayed. The questionnaire becomes read-only, the vendor receives a confirmation email, and the organization is notified that the questionnaire is complete.
Once submitted, questionnaire answers cannot be edited. If changes are needed after submission, the vendor must contact the organization that sent the questionnaire.
Question organization
Questions are organized into sections by topic (e.g., Security Governance, Data Protection, Incident Response). Sections are collapsed by default — click a section header to expand it. Each question displays the question text and description, question type indicator, required or optional indicator, and the appropriate answer field.
Troubleshooting
Email not received — Check spam and junk folders. If the email is not found, contact the organization that sent the questionnaire to verify the email address and request a new link.
Access link not working — Access links expire after a set period. Contact the organization to request a new link.
Answers not saving — Check internet connectivity. Try clicking Save manually. If the issue persists, contact support.
Need to change an answer after submission — Once submitted, questionnaires cannot be edited. Contact the organization that sent the questionnaire to request changes or a new submission.
