Goals Dashboard

Control & Direction

The Goals Dashboard provides an aggregated view of goal health across all three tiers of the goal hierarchy. It surfaces summary statistics and status breakdowns for CISO Goals, Team Goals, and Individual Goals in a single view, giving security leaders immediate visibility into whether the program is delivering on its strategic commitments.

The Goals Dashboard reflects data from CISO Goals, Team Goals, and Individual Goals. Goals are linked to strategies defined in Security Direction.

Navigate to Objectives & Outcomes > Goals Dashboard. The dashboard loads with all three stats bars visible, providing an at-a-glance summary without requiring any configuration.

CISO Goals stats bar

The CISO Goals Stats Bar displays the total number of CISO-level goals and their distribution across statuses. Each status — Not Started, In Progress, On Track, At Risk, Completed, and Cancelled — is shown with a count so leadership can quickly identify how many strategic objectives are progressing as expected versus how many need attention.

Use this section to answer questions like: How many of our board-level commitments are on track? Are any strategic goals at risk of missing their target dates?

Team Goals stats bar

The Team Goals Stats Bar shows the same status breakdown for team-level goals. Because Team Goals cascade from CISO Goals, this section reveals whether teams are keeping pace with the strategic objectives assigned to them.

A high count of At Risk or Not Started team goals beneath an On Track CISO goal may indicate a disconnect between leadership expectations and team execution.

Individual Goals stats bar

The Individual Goals Stats Bar provides a status summary for individual contributor goals. This section is useful for understanding whether personal contributions are aligned with team deliverables and whether individuals have clarity on their security-related responsibilities.

Reading the dashboard

The dashboard is designed for quick pattern recognition. Look for the following signals:

SignalWhat it means
High percentage of On Track and Completed across all tiersThe program is executing well against its objectives
CISO Goals on track but Team Goals laggingStrategic intent is clear but team execution may need support
Many goals in Not StartedPlanning may be ahead of execution, or goals need to be activated
Goals marked At Risk at any levelInvestigate blockers and consider reallocating resources or adjusting timelines
Individual Goals misaligned with Team GoalsCascading may need reinforcement through team leads

The dashboard updates in real time as goal statuses change across the platform, so it always reflects the current state of the security program.

Permissions

Viewing the Goals Dashboard requires the goals:read permission. Users with this permission can see aggregated statistics across all three goal levels. Managing individual goals at each tier requires the corresponding write permissions described in the CISO Goals, Team Goals, and Individual Goals pages.
